Reports To: Board Chairperson
Purpose:
- To act as a voting member of the board with full authority and responsibility to develop policies, procedures, and regulations for the operation of this Ministry
- To monitor the non-profit’s financial health, programs and overall performance
- To provide the executive director with their resources to meet the needs of those we serve.
Individual Board Member’s Duties:
- Support the mission and doctrine of the ministry.
- Attend all board meetings and activities, including special events and board retreats.
- Become knowledgeable about the Ministry.
- Come to board meetings well-prepared and well-informed about issues on the agenda.
- Contribute to meetings by expressing your point of view.
- Consider others’ points of view, make constructive suggestions and help the board make decisions that benefit those the Ministry serves.
- Serve on at least one committee.
- Represent and market the Ministry of individuals, the public and other organizations.
- Support the Ministry through a personal financial contribution.
- Assume board leadership roles when asked.
- Participate in fundraising and ensure the Ministry has adequate funding for its programs.
