Make a difference one conversation at a time. Next Steps volunteers provide direct, one-on-one support to Back on My Feet members who are actively working toward employment and stable housing. This is relational, purpose-driven work — and the impact of a consistent, encouraging presence cannot be overstated.
As a Next Steps Volunteer, you might help a member polish their resume, prepare for a job interview, navigate the application process, or simply serve as a steady source of encouragement during a critical life transition. We're looking for someone who shows up consistently, listens well, and genuinely cares about another person's success.
This role is well-suited for individuals with a background or interest in workforce development, career coaching, professional mentorship, human services, or community advocacy.
A longer-term commitment is encouraged, as the trust and momentum built over time are what create lasting change for the members we serve.
